Nagyon jól sikerült a metszés tanfolyamunk múlt hét szombaton. Prókaj Enikő, a Szent István Egyetem tanára tanította meg a 12 fős csoportnak a metszés fortélyait. Mindenki élvezte a napot, és sokat is tanultak - legalábbis nekünk úgy tűnt! Örülünk, hogy sokan használtátok a kedvezményes részvételi lehetőséget, mert szeretnénk, hogy minél többen meglátogathassátok a gazdaságot, amikor lehet és így megismerhessük egymást személyesen. Ugyanazon a napon a Central European University tanulói is eljöttek hozzánk Logan vezetésével, aki a gazdaság mindennapi életében segít minket, mellette agroökológiát is tanít az egyetemen. A tanulók egy napos gyakorlatra jöttek hozzánk pár egytemi munkatárssal együtt. Nagyon sok hasznos munkát végeztek, többek között a rebarbara mulcsozását, és zöldborsó vetését.
We had a very successful pruning workshop on Saturday. Prokaj Enikó from Szent István University led a group of about 12 people through the essentials of fruit tree pruning. Everyone seemed to enjoy the day and learnt a lot. We were glad to see that many people took advantage of the Zsámboki Biokert discount on the day, as we very much want to encourage our consumers to visit the farm when possible, and get to know each other personally. On the same day we had a group of students visiting from the Central European University, led by Logan, who as well as helping out on the farm regularly, also (amongst many other things) teaches a course in agroecology. The students came together with other staff from the CEU for a practical day. We got many useful tasks done, like mulching the rhubarb, and sowing more beds of garden peas.
