Mindig egy fordulópontot jelent nálunk, amikor ki van ültetve az összes paradicsom-, paprika- és padlizsánpalánták a fóliákban. Számunkra ezzel kezdődik a nyári szezon. Ugyanakkor újra tudunk a szabadföldi területre koncentrálni, mert számunkra mindig kihívás erre is figyelni, amíg nincsenek beültetve a fóliák.
Jelenleg minden gyönyőrűen néz ki, a kert szép tiszta - ( mondom ezt most, de nagyon gyorsan változik a helyzet!) és a csapat is nagyon jól tud most együtt dolgozni.
A szabadföldi gyalogutakat az ágyások között pedig lassan beterítjük faforgáccsal, hogy ezzel is még szebb legyen a kert. Illetve nem utolsósorban, a faforgácsban leledző mikrobák, mychorrizae a talajéletre gyakorol nagyon jó hatást hosszabb távon.
It always feels like a turning point in the year when we have planted out all the tomatoes, pepper and aubergines in the large polytunnels. This marks for us the beginning of the summer season. It is also the critical point in the year when we can start to concentrate more on the outside garden, as it is always a bit of a challenge to be getting the summer crops in in the big tunnels, at the same time as tending the crops outside.
This year things are looking good. The garden is nice and tidy (I say this now - it can change fast!), and our team is working well. Laying out woodchips in some of our paths makes for neat looking rows, although it is the longer-term benefit to our soil biology which is the main purpose of these wood-chip paths.
