Két hét szünetet tartottunk a dobozrendszerben, de pihenni nem nagyon volt időnk. Ez az egyik legfontosabb időszak a kertben, egyrészt rengeteg a vetés, mellyel biztosítjuk a friss biozöldség ellátmányt az év második felében is. Így egyrészt készítettük elő az ágyásokat a vetésekre. Másrészt meg rengeteg volt a feldolgozás is (pesztó és lecsó). A dobozok előkészítése és a kert irányítása mellett nem nagyon tudunk időt szánni a paradicsom/paprika és bazsalikom feldolgozására, de az elmúlt két hétben teljes gőzzel erre koncentráltunk, így már szép számban ott sorakoznak a polcon az ízletes lecsós és pesztós üvegek. Lecsónk mindig is populáris volt, gyorsan elfogy, nehéz belőle eleget legyártani. A Budapesto pedig egy ikonikus termékünk. Amennyire mi tudjuk, mi voltunk az első bio pesztó készítők Magyarországon. Pesztó receptünk már 15 éve szolgálja közönségünket, bátran mondhatjuk, hogy mindig nagyon finomak!
We have had a 2 weeks break from box orders, but we have been busy, busy, busy. Now is one of the most important times of the year in the garden, as the crucial sowings we make now allow us to have a good supply of fresh, seasonal vegetables right through to the end of the year. So these last couple of weeks we have been busy preparing beds, taking out the residues of the previous crops and getting ready to sow or plant new crops. Also, we have been very busy with pesto and lecsó making. When we have the weekly box orders and the garden to manage, it is difficult to find the time to process our basil, tomatoes, peppers, etc., but these last two weeks we have been concentrating our efforts, so that we already have a good number of jars put away for later in the year. Our lecsó is always a quick seller, and difficult to make enough of. Our Budapesto is an iconic product for us. To our knowledge we were the first to produce an organic pesto in Hungary - possibly even the first to produce any kind of pesto for the Hungarian market. Our pesto recipe is tried and tested now for over 15 years, and we are confident to say it is delicious!
