A hét fő tevékenysége az ún. hernyóalagút projekt volt. Ezek egy egyszerű, mozgatható struktúrák, mely segítségével meghosszabbíthatjuk bizonyos zöldségek szezonját és nyáron pedig árnyékolásnak kiváló. Szomszédainktól sikerült vennünk pár használt fóliasátor keretet. A Cargonomia lelkes francia önkéntesei szépen lecsiszolták a kereteket, és beszereztünk hozzá a szükséges tartozékokat is. Nagyon vonzó számunkra az a tény, hogy könnyű, egyszerű, nagyon kevés dolog szükséges hozzá (főleg, ha másodkézből szerezzük be a hozzávalókat), és mégis rengeteg energiát tudunk kinyerni a napból (fénye és melege) még télen is. Jövő héten folytatjuk a projekt megvalósítását - addig is, akit érdekel, nézzétek meg erről a technológiáról egy youtube videót, ami nagyon hasznos volt számunkra.
This week's main project on the farm has been getting ready to put up a caterpillar tunnel. These are simple, mobile structures which can be used for extending the season for some vegetables and providing a frame for shade netting in the summer. We were able to buy some old polytunnel frames from a neighbour. Our Cargonómia French interns sanded down the frames, and we have been getting ready the bits and pieces needed for the tunnel construction. We like the idea of these lightweight, simple structures as they are resource friendly (especially if we used second hand materials!), whilst enabling us to capture plenty of energy from the sun (even small amounts in winter).
