A héten komoly fagyok voltak. Szerencsére a legtöbb zöldségünk minden probléma nélkül megúszta - nagyon oda kell figyelnünk a fagyérzékeny fajták betakarására éjszakánként. Az első éjszaka sajnos elfeljetettük betakarni a korai burgonyavetést a belső fóliával - kicsit megsínylették ezt, de már újra erőre kaptak!
Friss tavaszi vetéseink, mint pédául rukkola, salimix, retek nagyon jól csíráznak, nőnek kinn a szabadban és a fóliasátrainkban is. Nagyon száraz most minden, így locsolunk is szorgalmasan mindenhol, hogy zavartalan legyen a növekedés.
Nem utolsósorban, köszönjük a sok segítséget Csengének és Eszternek ezekben a furcsa, munkás hetekben a gyerekekkel és a csomagolással! Csenge a nagy fóliasátrak gyönyörű rajzával ajándékozott meg minket, lásd alább. Köszönjük!
This week we have had a succession of sharp frosts. Mostly, all of our plants have come through without any problem - we have to be extra vigiliant to cover the frost sensitive crops at night. We were caught out the first night of the frost, by forgetting to cover the early potatoes in the polytunnels, with the internal cover at night. The potatoes took a battering, but they will recover - Oops! We slipped up there!
Rocket, salad mix, radishes and other early crops are growing well both in the tunnels and outside. It has been a dry spell, so we are already having to irrigate our crops everywhere, in order to give them a good start.
