Csaba, Emese, Kati, Logan and the rest of the garden team are working really hard at the moment to get beds ready and autumn crops sown. This is a critical period to try to make the most of the last months of the year, while we still have plenty of warmth and light. This week lettuces were planted, coriander, salad mix, spinach and various other crops sown. The last weeks broccoli and a number of cabbage family crops have been planted out, and are doing okay, despite the challenging conditions. What we experience is that what was normal in terms of what to expect from sowings and plantings even a couple of years ago, are no longer predictable - we have to revise what we see as "normal". This is honestly what it means to be on the front line of vegetable production. Any questions or comments welcome!
