A héten ellepett minket a hó, az igazi téli idő. Ilyen körülmények között minden nagyon lelassul, és végtagjaink is rögtön lehűlnek. Nagy a kontraszt a kinti kert ls a benti fólisátrak között - főleg, ahogy kisüt egy picit a nap, mivel a fóliasátrak gyorsan felmelegednek. Borult időben viszont a hőmérséklet majdnem ugyanolyan a fóliasátrakban, mint kinn a kertben, és így az év e szakában a növekedés szinte teljesen megáll. Ilyenkor kezdjük kidolgozni a részletes vetési és palántázási ütemtervet az elkövetkezendő szezonra. Nemsokára elkezdjük a korai benti vetéseket!

This week we have been blessed with snow and some real winter weather. In these conditions everything slows right down, and the extremities cool right down. There is still a big contrast between outside in the garden and inside the tunnels - especially as soon as there is a bit of sunshine, as the tunnels warm up quickly. On overcast days though, the temperature inside the tunnels is almost the same as outside, and growth at this time of year slows right down to standing. This time of year we start to work out a detailed planting schedule for the coming season. Not long before we make the first, early indoor sowings!
