A gyakori viharok ellenére valahogy mégis sikerült kordában tartanunk a gyomokat és végigkapálni a kertet az elmúlt hetekben.
Most éppen tökéletesen néz ki a kert - ezt elérni ritkán sikerül, de mindig törekszünk erre minden évben. Tegnap végre sikerült kiültetni a Hokkaido-tök palántákat, és a héten sokat vetettünk és ültettünk is ki, többek között cukkinit, salátákat, pasztinákot és petrezselymet. A meleg idő megérkezésével a nyári veteményesek, mint például a paradicsom és paprika nagyon megindultak, de például a spenót egyáltalán nem örül ennek a melegnek. Szép nyarat mindenkinek!
Dodging between rain storms, we have somehow managed to get on top of the weed, and get around the garden with hoes over the last couple of weeks. The garden is at one of those prime moments in the year when just about everything looks good. We have never managed to keep everthing looking so well right through the season, but every year we aim to. Yesterday we finally managed to plant out the Hokkaido squash, and this week various other crops have been sown and planted (courgettes, lettuce, parsnips, parsley). With the start of the warmer weather, summer crops like tomatoes and peppers put on a growth spurt, but some crops like spinach, just give up. Enjoy the season!
