Matthew's Shepherds Pie


1 kg potatoes (agria)

bit of butter


greens (spinach or oriental mix or any other green in bunch)

250g brown lentils

2 pc onions

few carrots

Cook potatoes in salty water, peel and purée it with a bit of butter and salt. At the end stir in the greens - chopped small.

Fry onions and add lentils, our water on top and cook till done. Halfway add the sliced carrots, add salt and pepper.

Transfer lentils in a baking try, make it flat and then layer the potato purée on top. Grate cheese over it and bake in the oven for about 20-30 mins or until golden.

Serve with a dash of apple vinegar, fresh coriander and lemon juice. Enjoy!
