Tavaszból a nyárba a fóliákban / From Spring to Summer in the Polytunnels

A héten a fóliasátrakban lévő ágyások előkészítésével foglalkoztunk, hogy készen álljanak a nyári szezonra (paprika, paradicsom, cukkini, padlizsán) . Cukkinit és paprikát már elkezdtük kiültetni, izgalmas elképzelni, hogy az ilyen kicsik palántákból pár hónap múlva már gyümölcsöző, egészséges felnőtt növények lesznek. A téli és tavaszi veteményesek felszámolása mindig eltart pár hétig, hogy készen álljanak a nyári vetésekre/ültetésekre.

Work is going on in the garden to prepare the large polytunnels for Tomatoes, peppers and aubergines, as well as some other summer crops.  This week we planted a couple of beds of Paprika.  It is nice to see them standing straight and bold in the tunnels. Still small plants but promising to grow into healthy upright paprika.  The process of finishing off the winter and spring crops in the tunnels is always a job that goes on for a couple of weeks or so, in order that the summer crops can be planted and thrive.
