Agricultural Practice From a Waldorf School

It's Sunday evening. Lots of students from class 9. have been arriving from the Göllner Mária Waldorf School during the day. They came to spend their time here to complete their agricultural placement which is part of the Waldorf Curriculum. We have two classes coming this summer of this nature. Today was spent putting up their tents, settling in to be ready to start work tomorrow outside in the garden. By participating in a small scale commercial organic farm, they gain experience and understanding of how this enterprise work.

This week we have been preparing for their arrival, and at the same time the usual yearly Biokontroll check-up is due next week, so we have been very busy these days. We are looking forward to the week ahead!
