We are so grateful for the rains of the last 10 days. These rains have a transformative effect on the garden. Whilst conditions are still mainly cool for the time of year, the season has definitely changed to spring in the garden. Levente has been busy this last week pruning the fruit trees, the rest of the team occupied with harvesting, bed preparation and lots of planting out of crops into outdoor beds.
We are preparing for a training day tomorrow as part of an agro-ecological project, which will involve 10-15 farmers (mainly conventional) visiting for the day on Monday, and learning about our methods. We will report more on this next week.
This week we also brought in Sari's fodder from the fields by ourselves using human power only. It's been fun and also a rural fitness workout!
