Wild Plum Trees

Week-by-week we make some progress with plantings and sowing outside, though the regular rains have slowed us down a bit outside.  The stars of this week are the wild plum trees in flower.  It doesn't seem long ago that we were enjoying the fruits from these trees, so good for jam-making and just filling up with fresh fruit.  Right now the trees are laden down with prolific white flowers, with their musky scent.  Bees are having a bit of a hard time pollinating so far, with the combination of winds and rain, but we hope that the busy bees have been able to make best use of the breaks in the weather to do their amazing work.
