The hard frosts on the farm today were beautiful. The first of the year, when every twig and branch turned crystal. The clear cold days should be helping us with our clear-thinking planning, but I have to admit our garden plans are going slower than they should. However, there is still time to catch up, and we will start our first sowings of lettuce this week, to hopefully have strong lettuce plants to plant into the poly tunnel in February, as space becomes available. Heads of salad by the end of March, we hope.
